Five hundred years ago, the church was in crisis. Church leaders were morally compromised, people were largely ignorant of the Scriptures, and man-made traditions were exalted over the Bible. In those days, God raised up the Protestant Reformers to call the church back to His Word and to the truth that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Today, the church is again in need of reformation, which will only come as we remember the insights of the Reformers and apply them to the challenges of our day.
On October 5–6, 2018, Ligonier Ministries hosted a regional conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Drs. Sinclair Ferguson, Steven Lawson, Burk Parsons, Michael Reeves, and Derek Thomas explored the history and legacy of the Reformation and how we must continue the work of the Reformers.
