Our allegiance to Jesus Christ will cost us in this world. This is because the gospel turns the values of the world upside down. Rather than shrink back from our faith in shame, we must be ready to be called fools for the sake of our crucified King, knowing that He alone gives true wisdom and life.

On August 12–13, 2022, Ligonier Ministries hosted a conference in Birmingham, Ala. Burk Parsons, Harry Reeder, and Derek Thomas considered God’s perfect wisdom in the gospel and in the Christian life, helping to better prepare us to withstand opposition with courageous faith.
