June 2023 Tabletalk

The June 2023 issue of Tabletalk will look at the many ways that the culture tempts Christians to compromise on essential matters of biblical doctrine. Believers live in the world and cannot help but be influenced by the philosophies and practices that they see all around them. As Western culture moves further and further away from its Christian heritage, Christians find themselves having to deal with non-Christian people and institutions who are unwilling to tolerate our affirmations of historical, biblical orthodoxy but who demand that we change our views on many issues that have been long settled in the church. Day by day, we are called to compromise and deny the biblical teaching on human nature, biblical authority, marriage, the exclusivity of Christ, and many other topics. Yet if we give in and compromise, we will have done nothing less than deny the faith once delivered to the saints. This issue of Tabletalk will look at several issues where the church is tempted to compromise with the culture and exhort readers to remain faithful to God’s Word in the face of opposition.
