In an age of influencers competing for our attention, whose lead will we follow? As Christians, we look ultimately to the teaching of Jesus Christ for direction in pursuing holiness and bearing witness to God’s glory. Yet the Lord gives us much more than a set of rules to follow. His Word leads us into a way of life that blesses our homes and communities, because it is a life patterned after Christ Himself.

On November 10–11, 2023, Ligonier Ministries hosted a conference in Ontario. Tim Challies, W. Robert Godfrey, Burk Parsons, Derek Thomas, and Robert VanDoodewaard turned to Matthew 5 to study Jesus’ teaching from the Sermon on the Mount and consider how to live by His example before a watching world.
